Longest sleep?

I've never slept for a huge amount of time - probably the most was about 16 hours after getting home from a long and sleepless ccf trip. Usually though, if left alone I can sleep for about 11 hours, then I wake up naturally.

Quite often sleep for 13hrs or so at the weekend. Catching up on my kip from during the week. Working bizarre hours does that to you. Was up at 6am this morning to drive to Arbroath.

Magic..

In adult life I can only remember once going to bed at midnight then waking up at 6am.
I would love to be able to go to bed and not wake up at least 4 times.

A while ago I got an eye infection which meant being getting eye drops ever hour or two, round the clock for about a week. Also I was recovering from jet Lag. Now although I never slept for a long time in a row, for that week and a few days afterwards I was basically sleeping 20 hours a day, giving me 4 hours to eat and get washed before hopping back into bed to be woken up ever hour :(.

After going on a bender last month with work colleagues, I wentto bed a 5am on a Sun morning and didn't get out of bed until about 5pm Monday afternoon. I probably slept at least 30 hours. It wasn't good because I was due to go out with the missus on that Sunday somewhere and she sent me to Coventry for a week after that event.

Can't sleep at the moment... Too many workmen digging up road, neighbors throwing wardrobes about and housemate shouting at Battlefield all night.

I generally need one 12 hour long sleep a week to catch up on getting 6-8 hours a night for the other nights.

In terms of a single stint I would say around 20 hours, it throws you right out and you lose track of time totally.

On a related note, why does too much sleep seem to make you feel like crap? I have a massive headache when ive over slept

I haven't spent more than 6 hours asleep in my whole life. I can fall asleep for an hour or so at pretty much any time of the day but I can't get to sleep at all the night after that. So if I feel tired during the day I have to fight it or I'm awake until the next night :(

Recently, 18 when i got back into Belfast after Christmas/new year, didnt sleep propperly from the flight back from new york on the 30th so i overslept to get into luton for new years and didnt get a propper nights sleep for about 5 days after that (stupid pull out beds)

Record is something like 23 i think, when i got back from the school ski trip as that possibly the single most amount of exercise iv ever done in my life (combined with about 6 hours sleep a night for a week)

Wednesday night should be similar after the Flaming Lips on Tuesday and my poorly planned essay session tonight/EARLY flights tuesday morning....
