Longest time without sleep?

2 days for me and it was horrible. I love staying up @ night because I hate daylight but Im not a cyborg and that 2-day thing kicked my ass. Not doing it again!

36 hours, can't sleep on planes.
And I was fine, I slept for about 16 hours though. As long as you sleep it off it's all good.

Ugh I just hate long flights, just hate them so much. I also find it impossible to sleep on those tubes. Huge respect to the guys & gals at the pointy end, how do they cope but then they have a cool job and are super-pros and they carry relief pilots and such on super long-dist flights!

About 72 hours. First 3 days of Gulf War II.

I was on night shifts, Saddam fired SCUD missiles at us during the day. Git.

Not sure exactly but I went like 4/5 days with no more then 10? hours sleep. This was down to health issues. Put it this way, my life was a constant yawn. 1 yawn after the other, it's horrible. Advise from GP was "excercise" -.- Can't do anything at that point.

I can do 48 hours easily.

About 35 hours. I was completing my final year research project and had some other assessments to complete. I became pretty unproductive after the 24 hour mark but decided to soldier on. Got it done in the end :)

A bit over 48 hours while at uni, completing two pieces of coursework, attending lectures on both days as well as going out for pizza at the end of the second day. after the 46th Hour I started going a little strange (as though inebriated) but was fine after about 20 hours sleep :D

About 38 hours, finished nights, decided not to sleep during the day, it wasn't that bad and the following day after a good night sleep (about 6 hours) I was back in the normal circadian rhythm!

Gotta love it when the hallucinations start. Find it hard to go more than a few more hours when there are all manner of imps, goblins and other weirdness flying around the corners of my eyes.

Mind you that's when you start closing your eyes and having them mad dreams that wake you with a start.

Did nearly 75 hours once, just did to to see how long I could last.

Was talking complete gibberish to myself and was hallucinating like mad, then went to bed and slept for a day and a half only waking up for a bit of food/drink/water.

Would never do it again! :(

About 40 hours one weekend, felt utterly terrible towards the end and mind was ruined for the next few days work.
It was a good weekend, but always grab a bit of sleep these days, even if it's just a couple hours.

Would love to give a honest reply in this thread but it would involve a statement that would get me in bother. Let's just say after 2 days strange things started happening.

39-40 hours on the way to a ski trip, was out all day on my bike then went to the the airport at 2 in the morn, got on the plain at 8 was skiing all day, and went bed at 11 to get up at 7 the next morning, it didn't effect me in the slightest to be honest

I guess about 38 hours. Almost fell asleep in a cup of tea. But i occasionally pull all-nighters without too much trouble, i find it's worth it sometimes to be tired for a day if it helps to get your sleeping pattern back in order.

Think my most was about ~75 hours. I have insomnia though, so sleep isn't always the easiest thing to come by, though it doesn't normally effect me, that 75 hour stint did! I was hallucinating, talking gibberish, going dizzy. It was horrible. :(

About 56 hours at a LAN, luckily I wasn't driving home and got a lift, I fell asleep on my bedroom floor while attempting to remove my socks.
