As title the title says, how long have you waited?

Have you ever had a long wait, yet you were successful in getting the job?

I had an interview on Friday, which went fantastically well, but I'm still none the wiser.

The girlfriend had to wait just over 2 weeks till they told her she had the job. They had told her it would be around that long at the interview though. They reckoned that it was because they had problems with a previous job offer which fell through because of references. This time they wanted to wait until they had all the references in before making a decision. Normally a day or two is the longest i've had to wait.
Didn't they say at the end ' we'll let you know by x ?' If not then be sure to ask next time.

Well, they said they should have been making a decision on Monday, and as I was leaving the hiring manager said I should hear within two weeks.

I'd of thought unsuccessful candidates will probably be waiting the two weeks.

Ah well. I'll see if I hear anything by 4.30 and maybe call.

7 working days, mostly as they had one more person to interview and had rearranged it due to illness etc. I didn't know that at the time so I'd assumed I hadn't got the job and applied for another!

Which I then had to cancel the interview for! :)

Prior to that I'd always heard the same day, sometimes within an hour so it was a hell of a wait.

Had to wait over 7 days once and then it was to come back for another interview.

If you don't hear from they today you will most likely not hear back until Tuesday.

I didn't hear about one interview for 4 weeks ... they then offered me the job. Unfortunately in the interim I'd interviewed somewhere else, accepted that job and been working there for a week.

Well, I applied for the job in January and received an offer for interview on the 22nd of March, so I guess that says something about their recruitment speed.

As far as interview feedback goes, it was genuinely a great interview, I can only see myself not getting it if someone else had more experience. But the job included a year of training...

Had my first interview about a month or so ago, they contacted me the next day :)!

Had my second interview a week ago, they rang me on my way out of the building :p!

In summary...I'm not much help...and I've only had two interviews...

Went for an interview (in France).

Got an email a couple of days later saying they liked me and they're making a decision.

I Emailed them a month later and they replied saying they had not yet made a decision.

I emailed them a month after that and they told me I hadn't got the job.

LolBlizzard. :p

About a month for my current job. The interviewer went on holiday so didn't bother deciding until he got back. It was all cool though as I was still in uni so there was no lag.

Took about 4 months from interview to acceptance for a MoD job I did a few years ago. I'd actually stopped thinking about it by then, so it came as rather a surprise when I got a letter :)

waited a couple of months before i heard from toys r us, they kept ringing constantly to see if i was still interested, then eventually was offered a multimedia position :o
