Longevity Burn-In Investigative Paths After 3 Months QD-OLED vs. WOLED, LG vs. Sony, And More

Burn in any worse on these than on plasmas?

Have a 14 year old plasma here that’s been absolutely fine for ir and burn in.
In my experience yes, I had a Pioneer plasma for (I think) 9 years with nothing. I then had a Panasonic one, which is still going, although it's had very light use since I got the OLED. Proably had 5 years on the Panasonic before the OLED (LG). The LG had to have a new panel after 5 years. The Pioneer display had probably dimmed somewhat ove the 9 years as the Panasonic was sooo much brighter. But as this happened slowly I didn't really notice it. Of course the Panasonic might have just been that much better.

That sounds pretty bad, not noticed any dead pixels on my C9 at all

Oh it is, it's like the screen has got acne. Luckily from 2.5m away you can't really notice it yet, hopefully by time it fails will have moved house and it'll give me an excuse to upgrade :p

My c9 has lots of dead pixels as well - more than 10 however they are not visible sitting down and watching content, I only notice them when I'm looking for burn in and and my face is 10 inches from the screen

Actually I have way more than 10 dead pixels

I just took some photos of it - all the dead pixels are around the edge of the panel, no dead pixels anywhere else than the edges. Why is that?

Anything in the warranty covering a certain number of dead pixels? That looks quite problematic above losing entire clusters and if it continues it's definitely going to affect IQ.
