I can see these being perfect in certain situations, but I can't stop thinking "gimmicky" when looking at them.

I think the clue is in the topic title. These are expensive novelty items aimed at consumers who have that kind of disposable money.

Coming in here saying it's overpriced is like coming in here saying a monkey likes bananas.
