Unfortuantly not everyone on this forum lives in areas where they can get insured on big engined cars for £1.53 at age 20 ;)

No but they do seem to leave in areas where they can afford to spend £5000 on 3 year old Fiestas.

IMHO car with proper engine for £4k + insurance > £5k trolley.

I had a Fiesta diesel as a hire car on the Isle of Man and it was pretty nippy too, a 1.8 I think it was, not sure though, does anyone know?

If it was new then it was a 1.4 tdci (maybe 1.6 if top model).

Nice car m8, my sis just bought one too and she loves it.

Tidy little car. Enjoy it :)

I sooo passed my test in the wrong time... I think I went through 2 cars before even having electric windows, airbags and non manual tuning radios and less than 100k on the clock for a price I could afford!! :o

Things I don't like about it are, the stereo, it's moulded into the dash so there's no way of fitting a MP3 player.
You can, it's just takes a while to do. Just get an autoleads adapter like you would with any other car.

really nice car dude, feels like something is missing from its looks though, however I;ve never seen that colour fiesta on the road! Nice choice

Its not about if he's "entering a rally" or not, its just that the 1.25, or the TDCI are far far better engine choices.

However, the new fiesta is a really nice place to be (for a small car), they seem reasonably well built, not exactly badly specified, and they look good too. Enjoy it :)

i have the 1.4tdci on a 06 fiesta and its a terrible engine, noisiest and slowest diesel ive ever driven. The rest of the car is nice but a terrible engine. Having driven the 1.6 in the fusion its just as bad.

im getting a new 06 zetec climate next week with the 1.4tdci engine i admit its not the quietest or fastest car in the world but it drives a lot nicer and pulls better than my current mk4 1.25 fiesta and i got the car for 9k

I only commented on the engine being gutless because I owned one for 2years Black Zetec. Great car, but its cramped, went though 4 water pumps. Nowhere to put your left foot as already mentioned. Its quick from the lights, then thats it.

I then moved onto a 2.0 car, and had had a 1.4 on hire a year later, and you really notice its all "no go". Air con totally rapes the power too, compared to the competition even 1.3 corsas deliver more umph.

smokey, I don't suppose you still have any photos of the Fiesta Flame. My girlfriend is after one so would be nice to have a few photos of a one :)

Cheers,

What did you want pics of? I've got a flame in silver/green (vitro) and its rather nice apart from the dent left from some scallys and a citylink van. :(

Any really, some nice interior shots would be helpful too :) How are you finding the car aswell, any faults or problems in the time you've owned it?

Will take some pics a bit later, I've put a computer in mine though so the dash is far from standard!

Only problem I have had was with the clutch plates slipping and making a high pitch noise. Ford know there is a problem but since I got mine replaced under warranty it has been fine (about 5k miles ago at 11k).

The extras the flame had were air con, alloys, fogs and a tiny spoiler. The only thing I would want changed is a 6th gear for when on the motorway, but then again its a 1.4 fiesta so that's not going to happen!

I would recommend it as a nice runabout. I'm going for a Civic Type R in the summer. woo!

Cool  Don't think that she'll be modifying it quite like that though :p

Does the Flame have the Security and Visibility packs aswell? Which include, remote central locking and alarm(?) as well as, front heated windscreen and electric(heated) mirrors? I've read most reports as they do, although one or two don't seem to advertise these, so its hard to follow :o

I tried looking for the Fiesta Flame brochure in PDF form but couldn't find it anywhere sadly.

Look forward to the pictures...
