If you even read my first post, you would know I am not red nor green and specifically even said I didn't want to turn this into a fan boy debate.easyrider said:Your priceless
I wondered How long it would be for you to start flaming and wanting to turn this into an ATI V NV thread.

You might want to go back a page, to the posts where I was saying that since he didn't feel comfortable making hardware mods with aftermarket cooling then I agree with his choice and am happy for him. I also congratulated him on his new card. Why not be just happy for the guy?
He had X1900 he changed it for a cooler quieter card at no loss of performance.

Good for him, but if you even read my posts (which you obviously didn't), you would see that my puzzlement with his "upgrade" was with the price. You questioned him in your first post calling it a downgrade.
Care to elaborate on why the x1900 is better?
ON second thoughts dont waiting for
"its because I can use AA and HDR at the same time"
He's not the first person to get rid of his x1900 in favour of the GTX and he won't be the last.
The X1900XT-X will outperform it in most games by a few FPS, especially at high resolutions with AA etc. The GTX will pull ahead a bit in lower resolutions and some specific games, but again it's only a few FPS. If you don't believe me, there's benchmarks on AT, I am sure you know where that is.
The reason the X1900 is better is because that ^ performance difference is not enough to justify the bloated price-tag on the GTX, unless like the OP, you're really not confident about aftermarket cooling and voiding your warranty.
The only person I see trying to turn this into a red vs. green argument here is you.

Yeah, have fun with it. Oh wait, I already congratulated him because I'm not a fanboy and understand his decision as he has explained it.Have fun with your new card mate SeanyK
Silly fanboys.
