Looking at an E92 M3...

Hi all

As the title says really, I'm looking at one of these and have been reading lots and just thought I'd create a personal thread to settle my mind! I know there are quite a few M3 owners on here

I'd be looking at buying the warranty (full), which is around £1,000 per year and I am pretty sure I've read it decreases slightly with a renewal?

In terms of servicing costs, oil, tyres, brakes etc I'd need to pay out for of course, but beyond that full warranty should cover me in terms of actuators etc?

I'm looking at DCT and EDC spec'd, just wondering if there is any advice you would give when looking at buying one second hand?

I know there is a dedicated BMW, M thread but post often gets lost in there - plus I'd like to bite the bullet soon and I think this thread will help!

As far as I'm aware, 60,000 miles is the magic number before the warranty gets expensive/less comprehensive

Nothing specific but if I were paying the running costs of an E92 M3 (fuel especially) I would one something a bit more "special" , then again maybe that is subjective

Like? (Few Porches did catch my eye, however worried there is a burning servicing cost which would blow me out of the water )

Thanks for the replies guys, had a look at a Porsche and whilst tempting do have my eyes set on an M3! Voxination, that sounds great I may get in touch with you via email on that offer.

Someone mentioned the E92 being cheaper to service than the E46, is this just because its old now or even if they were the same age the E92 is more efficient?

Just looking at Insurance quotes now, vary quite a bit - any in particular you guys are with who are seen as 'lower priced' versus the rest?
