Looking at buying a returned 83" LG G4 - Am I mad?

The 77" new is £3999 and the 88" is £5999 from most places, so it's not to bad a price but yeah still a lot of money. I am able to get the 77" with 5 year warranty for £3599 from a place I bought my 65 from who have been around a long time.
The 77" G4 was available from LG for £2800 earlier this year before the football. I'm sure it wont be long before prices fall again as we get ready for 2025 TVs.

the Samsung OLEDs are superb, last generation I picked the S90C over the C3 as I preferred the picture. If things are at all similar this generation, I wouldn’t even consider a used LG if you can get a new Samsung for a similar price.

Generally size matters more than the absolute best picture quality.

The Samsung you use is QD OLED, which I agree looks better.

The Samsung he’s looking at is the LG WOLED panel, which while very very good, isn’t as good as the MLA WOLED or QD OLED panels

What was it you liked about the QD OLED? For me it was just how saturated the colours looked without being overly saturated. Colours still looked correct but just so rich.

Colour depth, but I needed to tweak a bit as they looked oversaturated with default settings.
