Looking back at retro gaming stores!

I would buy Commodore 16+4 games from Toys r' us. I still remember when they stopped selling them too, I was only 10, totally gutted at the time..!

Had a look, so many, can't find it.

I've been up since 7 looking. I think I'm going to scream!!!!

Come on guys, someone must remember it. An RPG set in medieval times where you rescue a princess and there is a wolf in it somewhere. Had a funny game like Alteria or something.

Mastertronic games in every garage, worked well for them.

Fellow nottingham'ites might remember a small little shop in hockley.

Toto, one man band, picked up Golf in 84 for the dragon 32, the last stuff i had from the guy were the clearing out shutting up shop spectrum stuff back in 93.

Realy nice guy, allways good for a conversation, let you try out the games.

I used to cycle 15 miles to some tiny shop on a council sink estate.
It really was small, less than 2m wide.

I'd saved for months to buy a Chess game for the ZX81,
£11.00 IIRC, which was a lot of money back then.

Flight simulator was something like £8:00, but I played that to death.

All the other games I wrote myself (this was when kids had a brain and weren't spoon fed their entertainment)

Still miss Mr Disk that was on Queensway in Birmingham city centre. Bought so many master system, spectrum, mega drive, snes and psx games from there. Was an awesome shop that did great deals on trading in games.

did my work experience at mr disk

I remember buying cassette tape games from local papershops by us.

But most of my Amiga games i used to get from car boot sales ;)
