Looking for a 22" Widescreen monitor

I personally don't find it matters that much.

My 226bw is not one of the s panel's yet it delivers awesome performance. No ghosting, great colours and good contrast. No problems here whatsoever.

just required about 5 minutes of my time to set up colour, contrast and brightness levels. Once that was done i was good to go.

Remember too that its fast TN panel means its response rate is one of the best of the larger screens so is great for gaming! :)

You probably have the S or A and don't know it then if it's cmo it will have a terrible pinched concaved effect & the viewing angle would be laughable and no blacks even after calibration and in general colors will be washed out and weak.

It's definately not an S as i bought it off Slogan on the MM.

Could be the A - the picture is very good for a TN and the response on it is amazing.

It would for everything except fairly modern games.

Normal desktop use and possibly some games around the level of half life 2 should be ok.

Does anyone know why the 22" panels are all of the inferior type? Some of us simply like our pixels that little bit bigger... how come we don't get the better technology?

I got a 2232bw Pebble,
After reading much info on the 226bw debate, and i can say that this monitor has none of the problems associated with the 226bw A+C panels.
The viewing angles aren't out of this world but nor are they as bad as some people on here would have you believe. i sit facing my monitor dead on so its no issue. ;)
 
Good to hear, when i sit at my computer i sit square on to the screen so i find the viewing angle thing a bit of a non starter if you know what i mean. :)

I think i'll go for the 22" something, most probably the pebble, but i still haven't made up my mind 100%. When do the T.W.O. offers finish, Thursday isn't it?
 
another LG user here went from my 3 year old 17inch hyundai L70

very happy with the LG and highly recommended it :D

just goto swap my x1950 pro for a 8800 gts now

similar situation here.

just bought a LG L226WTQ, and i am very happy with it as i can not find any faults at all, even after i tryed with many monitor test websites.

just need to finish my new build, X38 mobo, 8800GTS are all that's left between me and a god-like gaming machine
 
Well i am now sat infront of a 22" Samsung 2232BW, and i love it! :)
