Hi folks,

I'm looking for a 2Tb m.2 nvme ssd that will sustain around 1000MB/s indefinitely. I know they'll pretty much all do this to start but then as the cache fills, the data rate will drop.

It's going to be used in an external enclosure that won't go above 1000MB/s so anything above this is redundant but there will be quite a lot of data being moved backwards and forward so it needs to sustain that rate.

Any suggestions please? Doing this on a budget so I'm looking for the cheapest available option.

Thanks.

That's a useful site for comparison, thanks. I don't think the usage is really relevant as it'll just be continual reading and writing of a mixture of large/small files pretty much all day. A RAM disk isn't really suitable.

looks like 990Pro has no problem sustaining 1000MB
Absolutely agree with that, I have one already running in a 40Gbps enclosure but unfortunately it doesn't meet the 'cheapest available option' as it's quite a pricy drive.

That's actually a useful part of the review, I was considering the P5 Plus which might be a good performance/price point.
