Looking for a bit of advice/confirmation

What good is strength without stamina ?

Thats not even a debate I deem worthwhile for myself. I require neither a great degree of strength nor stamina for what I do in my day to day life. Which is just as well because I have neither , but my phyisical pursuits, for the most part, are purely vanity based.

I'll buck the trend <3 cardio

Just done 30 mins - another new record (yes I'm gradually moving up and not pushing myself up in jumps) - didn't like but the feeling is great afterwards
I have a spreadsheet where I enter my times at various speeds and it works out distance/mph/kph etc Currently @ 14% faster than when I started 3 weeks ago.

BTW guys sorry to hijack the thread but is it natural to sweat bucket loads ? I do my workout in my boxers and by the end of the session they are literally drenched like they've been drenched in water.....I assume it's all down to me being unfit and overweight, either that or I'm doing the right thing. :o

Yes, us bigger boys sweat more.

Yep, that's about right. Not much is it :D

Stick a banana in it, add some milk and you're away.

Simple thing about weight loss is if you want to lose it eat less And whilst you're at it cut out the ****. Simples

^ that is not a meal for anybody... except maybe my hamster.

do you drink much alcohol? That can be a huge detrimental factor in acheiving your physique goals.

No alcohol at all.

I don't think I've been 'over eating' at all, just eating and drinking (only been off the booze 8weeks) the wrong things and not doing any exercise so hopefully a 1,000 cal deficit should be manageable but I'll keep an eye on it with the app and see how I go

Thanks guys

I lost 3 stone using myfitnesspal set to lose 2lb per week which left me with 1700 calories a day but as I lost weight the calorie allowance dropped. You can add calories by doing cardio I.e. I'd do a 30min run which gave me an extra 400 calories worth of food to eat.

It worked for me :)

Lol at all the anti cardio posts, cardio is king! You can't beat the high from running a marathon!

Though I do agree, the high from completing a race is awesome.

The high from being swole lasts longer ;) (may never know them feels)
