Hi,

I have been using CoreDuoTemp on my Macbook Pro for months now and it works no problems - giving me the correct read out. It also gives me CPU load and CPU speed readings - all in the menu bar.

I got a Core Duo Macbook today, and when I installed CoreDuoTemp, i realised it wasn't reading the temperatures right. It seems its reading some other sensor rather then the diode sensor.

So now I am looking for another program that gives me the same information. I *need* it to show CPU load and CPU temperatures. Not fussed about CPU Speed.

I have tried Hardware Monitor, Temperature monitor (these 2 do not display CPU Load). I also tried CEE PEE YOU but I didn;t like this one, was very ugly.

The old-fashioned and inbuilt activity monitor can show you CPU load in the dock if you're not fussed about having two running programs that do it.

Applications -> Utilities -> Activity Monitor

Yeah - I thought about that but I do want it in the menu bar. I know I am being picky but I like things to be prim and proper :)

Its not EXACTLY what I wanted, but i guess it will do. Im running that along side Temperature Monitor. Will do for now :)

Have emailed the dude that made CoreDuoTemp to see if he has any insight as to why his app doesn't read it properly.
