Looking for a decent plumber - glasgow

Girlfriend needs to get some work done in her bathroom, last plumber left it unfinished saying that he couldn't put the shower in as he'd have to turn off the water to the whole block of flats. Sounded like an excuse to me. He did an ace job though of anything he did actually do!

Anyone got any decent companies that are local? I've called 4 this afternoon, 2 had "number not recognised" and the other 2 went straight to answering machine. Just need a stop **** and shower installed (straight swap).

Come on chaps, get me some brownie points

Well sus, turn off all the water, i thought they could "freeze the pipe" fit a stop valve literally anywhere?

I got hold of my brother who's had a lot of work done recently to his house so I've got a plumber coming over tomorrow, GF is well happy as they all messed her about because: 1. She's female, 2. She sounds cute and 3. She's english. :rolleyes:

I doubt it's as big a job as the last plumber made out, I think he just had a larger job to get to

! can't see a flat not having a stop tap. has the old shower got a service valve fitted somewhere down the line?
