Looking for a desktop amp

Hi all,

Have a HD555 headphone + xonar DX card.
Looking to get a desktop amp for volume control and better sound (if possible?),

Any suggestions please?

Thanks, but ideally looking for something that will aid my sound-card rather then replace it.

Thanks, looks good but ideally looking for something £40 or less.

Main purpose of the amp is to shut my desk drawer up as at the moment the large headphone input>3.5mm jack is too long.

So looking for amp with:

Powered from mains.
Connects to soundcard via a direct 3.5mm jack.
Has a normal larger type headphone jack on front.
Volume control.

Can't seem to find anything that meets the above,

Many thanks for reply, I seen the FiiO E9 and you are right - it seems ideal.

Just to confirm,,

It connects to soundcard via 3.5mm and has the headphone large type socket for direct connection (i.e no need to an adapter)? And it is powerd via mains?
