I've a nice memory foam mattress, very comfy but hard to get out of (you kind of sink into it).
My son has an Ikea bed, and it's really good value and seems surprisingly sturdy and comfortable.

We just bought a memory foam mattress, about £500 I think. Our old mattress was 10 years old and I was having backache in the mornings.
A week on this bed and my back is much improved.

Another vote for Ikea, I have the king size Aneboda bed frame and one of Ikea mattresses. Very nice to sleep in and the frame is strong too.

And here it is.... :)

I liked the Ikea stuff but the Mrs wanted a more traditional looking bedstead, we got one from the Original Bedstead Company.

MALM bed frame, and a Sultan HAMNÖ mattress. I'm very happy with mine :0.

Had this in my last flat and it was actually very comfortable, we had to leave it behind when we moved because it doesn't go with the new house, so I've just bought this:

And I've bought a hand made Windsor Mattress that is arriving tomorrow. I got a £300 discount so only £1k for the mattress :o

In life you always need good bed and a good pair of shoes because if you are not in one you are in the other.

The missus and I were looking for a new mattress about six months back, original one we had only lasted a couple of years and wasn't impressed (silent night brand).

We looked in Dreams and found one we liked that was approx £800, but before ordering it we had a quick look in Ikea, found that there heaviest mattress (Sultan Hasselback) plus their best mattress pad (Sultan Tuvebo) came to just £330 and couldn’t really find £500 worth of difference to the Dreams mattress so we opted for Ikea.

After six months of use I’ve been very pleased with the mattress, very comfy and hasn’t soften/slacked in the slightest, the mattress itself looks brand new and the mattress pad takes all the day to day wear and at that cost it’s easy to just replace that whenever needed (maybe every couple of years).

Speaking of beds I’m in the middle of re-decorating the bedroom and the old bed frame (huge black bedstead) just sold on ebay for the mighty sum of a fiver, someone got themselves a bargain but I suppose it saves me having to take it to the dump. :p

Tempur beds/matresses F T W !

£2500 for a bed and matress (£65 for the pillows each) but its the best bed i ever slept on and worth every penny and has a 15 year guarantee

Have you tried this mattress anywhere yet? I'd be wary or buying something online that you intend to spend a 3rd of your life sleeping on without testing it fully first.
I hate to say it, but it looks like a generic mattress that the cheap bedding shops sell for £80.
