At the minute i've got e5300 at 3.5ghz with my 4870 and it is seriously bottle necking like in farcry 2 benchmark, makes no diffrence what setting's its on i get 40 fps 
I know my only really options are the 65nm and 45nm quads namley the q6600 or the q9450 upwards hers my question i once has 2x 275's on my old q6600 and it also was bottlenecking even at 3.4ghz (hence i7 upgrade) i was just wondering what speed i would need to cure this bottleneck before i buy i know this is a bit of a narrow question so just mainly looking for people's experiance with these kinda off set up's (multi-GPU and low spec cpu's)
