hi

im in need of a graphic card upgrade.

im currently running an 6600gt the 1gig clock speed limited edition, which i feel is now reaching its limits as i have upgraded my cpu to a san diego 2.6 overclocked to 3.6gig. and the graphics seem to have problems keeping up with the cpu.

i was thinking about purchasing one of those xt1950 xt's? any thoughs will it play up to date games??

oh im have 3 gig of ram if it makes any difference to the graphics cards?

Agree with the above, GTS's are a lot faster, and the 320mb GTS is cheaper than it, or you could wait till Monday for ATi's new card the R600, see how that performs, and how its priced, could see a few prices drop then to. :)

EDIT: 320mb GTS will be perfect for those resolutions, but as said best to wait till Monday for ATi's new next gen card as it could cause price drops, and is rumoured to be around GTS pricing, and slightly better performance wise.
