looking for a headset,

hey guys just a quick question, im looking for a good gaming headset and dont really know a lot about them, im currently looking at the True 7.1 headsets, but not sure, my price is around 100 ish mark a bit over wont matter much, also i dont have a soundcard installed but i do have one available, i see that the Sound blaster Recon3D omega wireless is on sale for around 100 what do you guys think???

Do you have a good soundcard or will you be using onboard? if you have a decent soundcard then have a look at the Beyerdynamic's, AKG, Sens. Most gaming headsets are garbage imo. Have had gaming headsets worth over £150 and compared to beyerdynamic or AKG which I have now they are **** poor. Will never buy a "gaming headset" again.

I'm with you on this, but the hyper x cloud 2 is outstanding for the price, i have more expensive ones i mainly use (AKG to be precise) but the cloud 2's suit me for when away with work, they're bloody good!
