Looking for a mains plug that can be controlled via command line with USB cable

I'd like a plug with a USB socket so I can connect it to a computer and turn it on and off via the command line..

But I don't want a physical remote control.

And I saw a suggestion of "USB 4 Channel Relay Board " But I wouldn't know how to connect that up. I can just about use a multimeter but i'm more computer geek than electronics geek.
 
What skyripper said. I'm an electronic engineer and would highly warn against fiddling with mains plugs. And you're unlikely to find one with a connection already fitted. The plug design is a safety standard.

Plus this way, you can buy more and distribute them around your house.
 
From a quick look at those 4 channel relay boards they don't seem to have the separation on the board that is regulation/advisory for mixing low voltage DC and mains AC :s but that is the kind of thing driven by say an Arduino nano that you'd want.

EDIT: Well the cheap ones that is - the more expensive ones that are more of a pre-built unit seem to be OK.
