Looking for a minimal case, no RGB, Fractal Define R6 or something else?

I'm still rocking a Thermaltake Armour LCS back from when I had my Q6600 watercooled. Getting a new build (3700X, 5700XT) together and I'm looking for a minimal case. No "GAMER" stuff.

Size doesn't matter but I'd like to have plenty of space. Good quality. Good airflow and low noise. Easy to work with.

From what I've seen so far I'm liking the Fractal Design Define R6 Tempered Glass Blackout. Any other recommendations? Is this case a good one?

What size is your Motherboard? Only reason I ask is because I don't want to recommend a case that's micro ATX and you have an ATX motherboard :p

Fractal cases are brilliant to work with from my past experiences, plenty of space and look great I'd highly recommend them to anyone

Haven't decided yet but probably a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Pro, so ATX.

Lol yeah it's pretty ugly, now that my PC is on the living room I'd really like a better looking case!

S2 and meshify look good too and they are cheaper as well, is the R6 top of the line for Fractal?

The Meshify cases are spot on, excellent airflow and generally high quality. You can get them in different colours, with and without windows etc. A lot of cases now have glass or plastic front panels that seriously impact airflow, the Meshify stuff doesn't have that problem as the front (as per the name) is a fine mesh.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £342.75 (includes shipping: £20.82)

Some of them are out of stock, but they should be easy enough to find elsewhere.

Probably a tad late to the party as you say you've decided on the S2 Vision but the R6 is just awesome...

I had to get the glass from a competitor as OCUK don't sell it. I was unsure initially if I wanted a glass panel so went for the solid panelled blackout case then bought the tinted/dark side panel as an extra...so now I have a spare solid panel. I'm glad I went with the tinted one though, it only shows the lights through and I quite like that over seeing inside the case fully.

I've got the Fractal Define S2 Blackout case. Simply from a quality point of view, this thing is amazing. I did add RGB to mine, but even so it's a stunning case without it, very sleek and understated. Was also a pleasure to build my custom loop into as well.

Glass panel is nice, but not as effective as solid steel + soundproof as the Define XL.
True, the metal panels on the Define R6 come with sound proofing so certainly keep things quieter than with a glass one. That being said, with my setup when the fans ramp up there is little difference in the noise between the two side panel options. When at idle both are silent too.
I tend to use noise cancelling headphones when gaming anyway so generally any noise from the tower isn't heard.
