Looking for a new case (like the look of the Lian-Li's)

Only place to mount a 120.2 in a V1000 internally is up top, but you loose 2 5.25 bays doing that. Other option is to externally mount it.

EDIT - Oh you also not be able to mount long PCI cards as the rad will be close to your PCI slots.

Thread stealer :D

I regressed today back to thinking about the eclipse because of the window.

But think if that fan controller does fit in the 5>3.5" adaptor then I think the V1000 has it on looks and I like the idea of the PSU and HD's in the base of the case.

Eclipse would be better suited really. v1000+ likes specific rigs normally, and a v1100+ is identical internally.

It is a Hiper PSU and TR3a in the system. :)

it looks on paper bigger the v1100plus mate... is this correct... the thing is that I want to add my rad and two PCI card as well

The layout of the Eclipse and its width make it ideal for installing a watercooling system, and as it does not have a inverted motherboard and its rad mounting areas not being right over them its fine for cards.

If you check the gallerys around this forum a lot of people use it for watercooling and it is bar the G70 I think the best case to mod for watercooling. :)

I think that I'm going G70... ARGH... I dont know... can you see why this is going to be the last thing I buy? :)

also consider a CM stacker (older variety if you want to watercool, with pleanty of space.

Im just trying to get my head around how to watercool an ATC 201

radbox is the way to go in some cases tbh

Rad goes at the bottom.

But please don't kill another one. :(

yeah I know thats why Im thinking of making a radbox, well it will include, the pump, res, rad and maybe a fan controller for the rad fans.

that way I only have to drill a few holes in the bottom or rear of the case to get pipes in - or maybe try and modify a PCI blanking plate.

Will post pics and plans when the case gets here (hopefully friday)

oh and thats a point, we could do with a log forum here too :)

Going to host them and put them in the sticky. :)

Already asked if I could do a few so if you do a log that follows forum rules I will whack it up. :)

Depends on the motherboard aswell. As the rad will eat up the bottom two slots on the motherboard.

I'm getting a Intel Bad Axe... Any more advice mate??

Motherboard looks like it, but in the v1000+ you would lose one, and get both in the Eclipse as far as I can judge. :)

Never used the board in either mind.

Well I think that its going to have to be an Eclipse then... which is taller a G70 or an eclipse?? :)

To be annoying what are peoples thoughts on the Antec P180 ?

AS it looks really nice.

I will be having to move out of the spare room (due to it becoming a nursery) :D so the new machine will go in the front room.

So it has to look nice too, and this does.

But if its loud and hot I wont bother.

According to the Antec webby it:

- 1 rear (standard) 120mm TriCool™ Fan with 3-speed switch control
- 1 top (standard) 120mm TriCool™ Fan
- 1 lower chamber (standard) 120mm TriCool™ Fan
- 1 front (optional) 120mm fan
- 1 middle (optional) 120mm fan to cool graphics cards

Thats a lot of fans :D
