Looking for a phobia.

Strange one this.

I once heard about a phobia / severe disliking of organised patterns, but can't find it. Even when I write this it seems ridiculous but I'm sure it exists. Basically, a phobia of things in order; i.e. a row of holes or something?

Sorry, I know how mad this sounds.

It's a little more specific than just holes.

OP - After having a little google, there doesn't seem to be a specific phobia that deals with the fear of pasterns or order.

Button-phobia fascinates me. Seems people just get it independently on their own, with no trauma associated with it - and that the little plastic ones on shirts are invariably the most disgusting:

A little off-topic but I have a friend who is genuinely scared of sweetcorn. We went to prague with him and someone had some on their plate, he ran a mile bless him. I know its not nice, but it was really funny

Then surely there must be one for patterns.

Out of curiosity did he tell you why he was scared of it? Is he worried it's poisoned, or that it's somehow going to attack him?

Ugh, that makes me feel uneasy. Having read a bit about it I see people mentioning they are also scared of looking at pictures like these too but I got no problem with them.

Maybe it's because the picture you linked makes it look rotten or unhealthy, so it's a sort of underlying reaction that it's not good for you.

It'll probably be something emotionally related, possibly deep within the subconscious.

the image i linked to is photoshopped of course. the image shopped on to the fingers is actually a fish's mouth, i forget the name of it.

You're right though, it probably is along those line. other images dont really bother me either. well, not much. eurgh.

Gawd damn. No matter how many times i see this. I always end up with shivers for at least 5/10 minutes
