Hi Guys

Looking to earn a bit extra about £50 more a week.

Any ideas?

Poker..Online, piece of **** to get £50 a week. Just play tight & premium hands only without any fancy stuff & you can't go wrong long term.

2/3 Hrs a night on a Friday or Saturday about 11pm ish after the pubs kick out & on a low value cash table or 2 should be enough.

Try and get a job doing 1 or 2 nightshifts in a supermarket. I do alternate Friday and Saturday nights 10pm – 8am. Earn just under £100 for the Saturday night and about £60ish for the Friday night. Come away with around £320 per month, not bad for doing four nights work.

ebays not a bad idea...but its knowing what exactly to sell of course!!

Blimey, forget trying to be an Ebay tycoon or a gambler. Go down to your local shops, and look for vacancies. Hand some CV's out, get some application forms. I'll start you off- William Hill are hiring. That way, you can watch everyone else waste their money on betting, while you make money :)

What he said^, for msot people I'd say gambling is a very bad way of gaining regular income unless you can be very disciplined with yourself. For me, putting the odd bet on is a bit of fun which might get me a few extra quid, but equally i could lose it...

Well I get that on my first one :(
No you don't, you get just under £5K tax free, then another ~£2K at 10% tax, then you start getting taxed at 22%.
A second job is additional income so you don't get the allowances again and the full amount is taxed at the higest tax bracket you pay
You will pay NI on the whole amount too.

Do all supermarkets have nightshifts?
What sort of hours do you work?

hi Guys...

Sorry been putting up fences all weekend, as well as blowing £70 on a night out (it was a ball).

It was a good night out, but only worth about £30, and as for the fencing it was helping my dad so again nothing to help the old wallet!!

I do have a 9-5pm job. So it would be taxed as a second job.

I have worked in a bar before, and to be honest hated it however this was due to the worst managher in the world. Who was about 9months later sacked. :D Working in a bar DOES seem the most sensible choice. BUT Dealing with arsey drunk people can get annoying, as can working till midnight on my only days off with at least one hour spent effectivly cleaning, and i hate cleaning!! lol.

So thats a sort of banker and so can wait until other money making schemes fail.

Online gambling seems my best bet i do think. But poker, roulette etc. I could never get my head round the whole matched betting, or spread betting thing.

So ONLINE GAMBLERS..ADVICE PLEASE!! How much to start off with (£15 or £50) What games to play, how much to bet a hand, what tactics to play.

PURLEASE!!

Cheers

Ross

Hey mate would this happen to be the largest supermarket in the UK, a supermarket recently purchased by an american chain, Mr Jamie Oliver's favourite supermarket, or this is not just a supermarket this is a special supermarket with vertical walls a roof with no leaks etc, or does it have 100 reasons to shop there, or is it another one!!

Its Mr Olivers favorite, and i do alternate Fridays and Saturdays 10pm til 8am, just one shift a week. I just stick my headphones on and listen to music all night as I work away, usually flys in. I think most of the larger stores will have nightshifts running, just go and ask at the customer service bit to find out.

Hello,
What is it you actually do? Stack shelves?
I'm not trying to be nosey, but how much do they pay per hour? (if you don't wanna say, thats ok :) ) i'm seriously thinking of doing this, i only have college 3 times a week, and only go out once every couple of weeks (at night time i mean), so it could suit me well good. And I never have good sleeping patterns :p And I wanna move out lol :p
Would you reccommend it?

rossyl, arent you the one who posted that they needed a short term job because after xmas you would be getting a well paid job in london or something?

not sure if it was you or not. im sure it was tho, started a thread that a lot of people gave comments that you didnt really want to hear?
