HI guys,

Come payday this month i'll be ordering myself a new TV for the bedroom.
While I'm happy with my choice of TV, I'm not sure on what kind of streaming box I should go for.

I've looked around a little and noticed a lot of people Used something called Plex to stream files to their Roku device, so I looked into Roku and it seems fantastic, however i'm not completely sold on them as they don't appear to have much information in regards to how much you get with it (Channel wise).

I'm looking for some information in regards to perhaps a better choice, for example maybe an android box due to the fact that they can also get internet TV if done correctly.

Thanks in advance guys,

Headcrab.

Theres loads of choices, ranging from basic functions of the TV itself to fully pledged PC's streaming from Servers (Which I have).

Personally, I'd go the 2nd hand Revo/Emachines route and run an Openelec box, but you may want something a bit more Vanialla.

Check out the AVforums as thats more their thing

I'm quite liking the idea of using a small Revo/Emachines box running Openelec due to the fact that the system would effectively be XBMC, something I've previously used and quite liked. It would give the ability to choose what channels and such I would like due to how configurable it is.
