My mum wants to buy my dad a 7-9" wi-fi tablet for Christmas but I have no idea which one is best in this price range. Can anyone please offer their advice here? Thanks. :)

A speak and spell.. ;) (N7 2013).

I am late to the party but I have a N10 on it's way to me. Don't get me wrong the N7 is great but the 7" screen size is annoyingly small over extended periods of use, it feels not a million miles away from the size of my N5 screen. I took my N7 on holiday a few times and there it absolutely shines in this respect, it's the perfect size. But else where I crave a 10" display. Viewing PDFs on the N7 at 100% is not recommended!!

I believe the N10 is still a very capable device and recently got the Kit Kat update, others will step in here!

N10 is likey to be replaced soon. Can be had for £235 now. I am using it now and love it. I have the nexus 5 and nexus 7. All are great

Its great. The nexus 7 is the only tablet I recommend andriod wise. Hate to say it but after that I flip to the dark side and say iPad mini :(

hudl can be purchased for 99 pounds

9 inch screen great res and good speakers

battery life is also very very good

Nor is it anything like the specs of a Nexus 7, nor will it have the same level of support! They're 2 very different tablets in 2 different budgets.

£100 to spend - Hudl
£200 to spend - Nexus 7.

Hudl is more like the 2012 (1st Gen) Nexus 7..

Which is still a nice tablet (pats 2012 Nexus 7 currently rockin' the KitKat)
