Looking for a USB switch - Any recommendations?

I need to switch a USB device between two PCs so am after a switch. There are loads and loads available so it's a bit of a minefield.

It needs to have one USB A port so I can connect the device there and two USB2 B ports for the cables from the computers.

Any recommendations please?

i was in this dilemma recently and needed one to control 3 machines, i went with:

Ugreen USB3.0 switch

Works well however downside being there is no automatic detection so it doesn't switch if it detects another active computer, its manual with a button on the device...

Having said that, noticed theres a device on Amazon which has a nifty IR remote to switch between devices, might invest in one of those and give it a go

You can link to them, OcUK don't sell USB switches so it's allowed :)

I don't really want USB3 though because the B connector is different.

Manual switching is perfectly good for me, in fact I'd rather have it that way because when I'm using it, both computers will be switched on so I want it to be able to control where it's connected.

Ahh yes that's one will do. I have the USB3 version of it. That one has no auto switch so all manual.

There is another with auto switching one which looks ideal. I was thinking of getting the 4port version but the button looks a bit ugly

Then the IR Remote version is usb3 and has 4 ports so won't bother posting it

I've ordered it. Shame it comes with cables because I already have far too many and the ones it comes with are too long!
