A friend started his own company and he is getting inundated by emails requesting his services. So much so that he is struggling to keep up as he is a one man band. He’s now had numerous people complain on another forum about his lack of response.
I suggested that he hosts a solution that will do the following:
* Client emails query to mailbox
* Client automatically gets a response with some sort of work item number and work item created with the query in the issue description and a reference number
* He gets these work items and questions in a chronological works order
* Some sort of status associated with each work item and hopefully some fields that he can define
* As a bonus the client can make comments on the work item to keep a history of conversations.
Now I know there are numerous applications and solutions available and a few spring to mind, but essentially I’m looking for something simple to use, easy to set up and maintain… and here’s the kicker… either free or very cheap
Don’t want a lot do I ?
My first thought was getting Jira, but I was wondering if any of you had a great idea or know of a solution that would fulfill these requirements.
Maybe some webnote app even, but definitely not considering a forum!
