Looking for an Android Phone Sub 150

It's for my daughter (19) so the cheaper the better (she will be paying), she is currently on an iPhone 4 but that's starting to reach the end of its life and she wants a more modern phone. Requirements it has to have a reasonable camera, 16gb preferably (I think 8gb in an android phone is a squeeze, I have a z3), 4g and finally a micro sd slot, sim free as I pay her monthly contract, make isn't important it can be Chinese or whatever

Any thoughts, the Asus zenfone 2 seems in that ball park or anything else worth considering?

Another vote for redmi note 3. Grab one from an eu warehouse on gizchina or honorbuy. Good value for money for sure.

Agreed, excellent handset. Only downside being no gorilla glass or dragontrail. And screen protectors are a right faf

Redmi note 3 has no 800mhz 4g?

Note 3 doesnt include the microsd slot.

The Redmi Note 2 does, and I have it, and would say it's a great phone.

However, it does lack 800mhz 4g - so depends which network you are in (EE, or any EE MVNO, will be fine).

Otherwise, the new Redmi 3 looks like a good compromise (metal body, plus micro sd), but will likely take a while to be available and shipped.
