In a few months we are moving into a house we are buying which is, sadly in a none cable area, otherwise I would have happily gone with Virgin, whome we are with here on a 20MB line.

Virgin have said they have no plans to spread into that area (A close, quite near 2 main roads with cable, but no extension into the close) so we're looking to see what ISP is reliable, fast, and not too bad a value for money.

if we go with a Tv provider over freeview it'll obviously have to be sky, how does their internet fair up? We're after at least 12MB, ideally 20+ but I'm not sure how things are with ADSL and speeds nowadays, not looked into it at all for years as we have had cable since 2004.

If anyone has any good reviews/opinions of 12+ MB lines with unlimited bandwidth, please share your suggestions :)

Thanks!

Been with Sky for over 3 years now and never once had to call support.

I get a solid 18.5mb and have been connected without dropping for 51 days now.

They don't do traffic shaping, port blocking and they have never complained about my usage.

Where else do I get that for a tenner?

Sounds good, have done a check on that number and its saying should work for upto 24MB (20mb obviously with sky) whereas the current landline says 4mb! :o

Sky package I'd like comes to £40 a month all in, including Sky+ HD, so can't complain really!
