with similar functions to XML Spy but as an open source (or free closed source) application. I've been using Visual Studio, but it's so pap it's unbelievable.

I wish I had the time to write one....

Hi,

An Eclipse plug-in called XMLBuddy might be worth a look. The Pro version, which I think you'll want, isn't free but there again it isn't nearly as expensive as XMLSpy (which I agree is extremely good).

I've got it running using Eclipse 3.2 . Seems to run OK but I haven't used it enough to know if it's any good. The bits I would use more are only in the Pro version e.g XPath, XSLT etc.

Hope that's of some use.
