Looking for first android phone, sub 150. Help!

Hi Guys,

After loosing my iphone and not having insurance i'm after a new phone!

Really tempted by android. Has to be 150 or under, don't mind if it's second hand.

Not used any of sure of what to get, needs to have wifi, mp3 player and 3g.

Was looking at the htc tattoo, htc hero and t mobile pulse?

pulse or a used hero are pretty similar spec and both good phones

tatoo has a smaller screen and screen resolution so id avoid that unless you get a good deal
 
I am finding my Pulse to be really good atm. It has just got 2.1 which is awesome. They can also be found for next to nothing which is a bonus. Mine is on a £7.50 contract with unlimited internet.
 
Samsung Galaxy Portal from ebay, get one with 2.1 if possible much better than the Tattoo imo and there's some good modding tools around if you want to root or change firmware. Only downside is that the 3D is very bad.
 
I'd agree, the Galaxy Portal, Hero and Pulse are good candidates for under £150. I wouldn't bother with Wildfire, Tattoo or Pulse Mini due to rubbish and/or low res screens.

Such an amazing phone, the 3d doesn't seem that good atm but from what I've read the hardware is there but the drivers aren't fully utilizing it :(
other than that it's amazing :D especially on eclair

Also 800mhz cpu :)
