Hey guys,

Basicly im asking for a little help, At the moment my current GPU is the Gainward 560ti golden sample. I was looking to go SLI with that but that has been discontinued and cant find it anywhere! SO since then i thought i might look for a new graphics card that is compatible with pci.e 2.0 which i can go SLI with which hopefully would beat the performance of my current gpu. Im struggling to find any gpus that are pci.e 2.0

Is there any GPU's that you lot recommend???

thanks :)

All current graphics cards will be backwards compatible with pci express 2.0

When I first got my 290X i was running it on a socket 1156 motherboard which is pci express 2.0

What motherboard do you have and how much you planning to spend?

did you see a diffence jumping from 2.0 to 3.0???

Only a small difference in benchmark scores but that was because I went from an i5 760 that did a max of 4.0Ghz to an i7 4770K that will go to 4.4Ghz or so.

There really wouldn't be any noticable difference otherwise.

thanks for replies,

my current motherboard is: Asus Sabertooth P67 Rev3

and il willing to spend between £120-£220 depends, it will vary if its just one really good gpu, or two gpus SLI

I have got to test this out, back in a bit.

In this review, techpowerup.com test the impact of running the AMD Radeon HD 7970 and the GeForce GTX 680 on Intel Ivy Bridge PCI-Express slots that are electrically PCI-Express x16, x8 and x4. techpowerup.com tested all three generations of the PCI-Express interface: 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0.
