Looking for IPS with good colours and lowest input lag

Hi guys,

I've been debating on which monitor to purchase to replace my old Dell 2407WFP.

My 2407 is a great monitor but its simply too slow for gaming. The input lag is quite noticeable and since I play a lot of competitive FPS I really need something quicker.

Ideally I would like to avoid a TN panel as I work from home as a graphic designer and need the quality colours that you would find from an IPS Panel.

So essentially I'm looking for an IPS with good input lag (Max would be 10ms) and response time that also has good colours and image quality.

I'd like a 24 inch monitor mainly but if there is a 27 inch 2440 display that suits my needs I would consider it also.

Thanks in advance!

In case you need wide gamut:
Hazro HZ27WB

If not:
HP ZR2740W
or
BenQ GW2760HS

Can't vouch for any of them, but they should have around 10ms input lag or less. And sorry, haven't paid any attention recently to 24" models...

Ps. If you need to ask what's "wide gamut", then you probably don't need it.

I haven't seen any reviews yet on that Hazro monitor but I will check it out. I'm a little put off by Hazro though as I saw the 30" in person as my mate has it and the picture isn't that great. Especially rendering of text for some reason.

Also I don't want a 27 inch 1920 display due to the DPI.

The HP ZR2740w v2 looks good but I can't seem to find anywhere that can confirm their model is definatley the "v2" version for some reason.

Thanks for the suggestions so far though.

anything from 2012 stock onwards should be the v2 with new lighter AG coating :)

Also interested in this, so far for me its between the asus pb278q and viewsonic vp2770

I bought an asus pb278q from ebay second hand and had to return it due to dead pixels but I could also notice a bit of input lag on it. Maybe not as bad as my 2407 but definitely noticeable.

I'm in exactly the same boat JJ!

2407 is a fantastic old work horse of a monitor. After 5 years, it's served its time well... but I wonder if there is now better monitors of it's class out there.

Considering the 2913 as a change. I'd love to see the difference between the 2407 and a u2412 as I do like the 16:10 size.

The search continues...

Ordered a viewsonic today as it was instock, got email saying i wont get it till sept 16th, wtf! Looked everywhere else and its looks pretty much the same, tempted just to get the asus, not sure what the LG 27ea83 is like.

After ringing company to exchange for LG 27ea83 (which can apparently be overclocked to 100hz) it appears they received 8 of the viewsonics so got it coming monday, still tempted by the lg now though.

Looks like the LG 27ea83 is aimed at photographers don't know how good it would be for gaming only just had a quick look at it need to check out this monitor more.

Edit Was worried about oversaturated colour too much pop but you can select sRGB mode so it makes a good Photographer an Gaming monitor only thing I don't like is the stand an only 1 year warranty costs about £60 more then Viewsonic but LG 27ea83 looks like a good buy though.

Seen two version 83B an 83D also read this monitor does not overclock well like only 62hz someone on youtube said after buying it an gets hot.
Was going to buy the Viewsonic VP2770 but the 3 cheapest places I've seen have too much bad feedback on customer service so price keeps going up £527.12 free delivery preorder almost same price as the LG at £558.50 free delivery.
