Looking for an RTS game.

Both look good graphically ( I want to run them at 1920 x 1200 ).

Any preferences from people , ideally not with a huge learning curve.

cnc is easy

but gets VERY hard when you bump up the AI

Easy learning curve if you ask me

CoH i think is awesome if you play with a friend online, steeper learning curve though :)

Coh = Stragetic
cnc = build build boom boom nuke

Both good games , totally different game play.

If you have played C&C games before! do not miss out on C&C3

COH - Awesome RTS WW style , a must have tbh ...

get both the demos and decide from there.

COH is 3 times better than CnC, i really dont like CNC 3 that much, they've tried to hard to make it seem like the old ones, but it never will be.

Plus COH has 5 times better graphics.

Thanks all.

I'm swayed to CoH.

I'm looking at the GOTY version , its a pre-order on 28/9/07 - Is this correct ?

Some sites are listing it in stock , others as a pre-order.

I enjoyed CoH to start with but got stuck on the 5th mission and haven't really played it since. C&C3 is a bit easier to pick up and play and follows the same tried and trusted formula from previous games.

If you like RA2 then you'll like C&C3. If not then give CoH a go.

I've just got the Dawn of War's off Steam and they seem great!

Probably overpriced on Steam i'm not sure, however I prefer the Steam format to buying them boxed.

Got stuck on CoH. Might have another bash.

C&C3 I really like.

Dawn of War is my favorite by some way (but I love 40K anyway)

Didn't like Sup Com.

In a Nutshell pretty much. I prefered COH though. Using cover for your advantage. Sand bags and tank traps that actually work! Many different ways to achieve your goals where as CnC 3 is pretty much build and destroy. Still think RA2 is the best RTS i played. A good combination of both with the interaction of IFV's for example and tactical play but still the concept of building huge armies and going boom! hundreds of hours spent doing 3v3's. RIP Westwood.

Always been a fan of C&C, hated c&c 3 though. Cant recommend it.

CoH all the way in my eyes.

Company of heroes > CnC3

I loved the CnC series, but it was over the moment Westwood stepped in. Generals was okay, but was NOT CnC as we know it and CnC3 is all graphics.

There is absolutely no advancement in its engine in terms of strategy and very little in terms of physics. You get the impression they added all of the new features AFTER they saw games like SupCom and CoH.

Love CoH, but SupCom my boy, oooh yes!

Also if you listen to Kreeeee enough I'm sure you will start to see 'the way', but don't look into his sig else you will into a turn Korean.
