Looking for the best software to take an image file of my w10 setup?

you cant really go wrong with Veeam, however the built in backup is also good, and with the added bonus on not relying on 3rd party services to remain in existence/accessible. you can use any ol win11 boot media to restore it or mount the vhd as a virtual drive to browse the file system on your existing installation (or create a VM if your feeling fruity), just keep a backup of those bitlocker keys if the drive is encrypted. Ive not checked out Windows VHD but going off the name its probably just a better gui for the built in capability of windows.
The built in backup also uses a common file format that is likely to be supported for the forceable or as long as Microsoft is relevant.
