A mobile phone that meets the following requirements;

No more than 63/64mm wide
iPhone like pixel density
iPhone like build materials
Ability to be docked and charged in portrait mode
Ability to sync content and apps across phone and tablet devices. Full device backup to computer.
Excellent battery life
Good quality/loud speaker for podcast listening.

Does anyone know of such a device?

Many thanks

M.

The iPhone 4/4S is the only phone that has that kind of pixel density at that size. So I think you'll have to give that one a miss :(

Some of the others are fulfilled by the Nokia Lumia 800 though, might be a worth a look?

Why no more than 63/64 mm, did you get a measuring tape out on the 4s or something?

I'm looking for something I can use one handed and that's about the max width where I can do that.

Seemingly the Sony Xperia S and Huawei Ascend D Quad XL might fit the bill in some respects... I wonder which offers the best build quality and materials?

I'm not an Apple fan, but the 4 and 4S have very capable hardware, any reason you are looking at an alternative?

If you were thinking of moving, then I would think it would only be worthwhile with the new handsets coming out (like the Xperia S etc).

I think I sometimes get frustrated with some apps not working right (Downcast at the minute!) and poor battery life at times... But then I put my sensible head on and it's probably no better elsewhere either.

Wellll... although I hate to say it, the 4S probably has the best battery life and app support of any phone out there atm.

Is there a way to perhaps do a factory reset? Sometimes even on Apple I imagine things get screwed up.

I would quite happily sport a 4S, but I understand that sometimes all phones can be a pain in the butt.

When you say bad battery life.. anything in particular about that life? (I thought it was meant to be excellent)

Actually.. I'm going off topic with my questions... sorry should be focussing on alternative phones.

The 4S battery life is'nt that great not any better then a lot of other phones especially if you start using any of the location based features such as reminders etc.

I think what I'm wanting is something better that, ultimately, doesn't exist. Got a response back from the developer of Downcast so I will follow their advice and see what happens.

Why portrait mode?

The Xperia P is probably the best match (pending battery life results) or if you prefer AMOLED/don't mind pentile the HTC One S (might be too long/big)

The rest are all huge! :D

I wouldn't bother swapping until there's more high end ~4", 28nm phones with big batteries.
