Hi
Can anyone recommend a good belt and braces guide for transferring the OS of an old PC to an SSD (website or YouTube tutorial etc)?

My mobo is an old Gigabyte P35C-DS3R (yep, it's that old  )

Thanks :)

Are you running Windows 7 or Windows 10? If the latter, you could clone your install; if the former a reinstall or upgrade to W10 might be a better idea.

Thanks guys

yeah, I'm running Windows 10 no problem.
I have the SSD - I'm presuming (since I haven't investigated this any further than this actual post at the mo') that I'm going to need some additional hardware - that's kind of what I was looking for as well. Is there some sort of SATA connector etc (see, I know I sound clueless but that's because I am :D)

I'll check out the guide...

Thanks guys. I'll open up the case 2moro and have a root around. And the link Sandy's provided seems like a good shout for getting the actual transfer done.
Cheers
Chris.

Download the "Free 30-day trial copy" of Acronis 2020 from HERE and use it to "Clone" your old drive onto the SSD.
