Are you asking how long the chair would last? If so then in the case of the Herman Miller Aeron's, lasting over 10 years is actually pretty common. There are probably ones that are still fine that are 20 years old as they came out in 1994.

Anyhow, it seems the DXRacer M series are reported as being the most comfortable, and the longer neck cushion is much better too.

The refurb ones go on the 'Bay for around £160, I'm seriously tempted. Anyone know if the back is adjustable i.e. does it tilt? Current chair is fixed and sitting in it for long periods leads to backache.

I'd say a DX Racer, had mine for a year or so and love it, wish I'd bought one sooner.

They look a bit narrow to me, the flat part I mean not the bits that rise up at the sides, 14.6" according to the schematics?

I'm 6'2" and my current chair is 21" wide on the flat part of the seat and believe me I need every inch of that width.

i bought a DX Racer from OCUK and it is the formula edition (F series) and it as expensive but works great, don't regret the money i spent as i was desperate for a chair as my 4 year old leather office chair was dead and not even comfy the slightest with a pillow on it either. This chair i have had for around 6 months now, maybe even longer and it shows no wear at all compared to other chairs I've had. But when unboxing the bolts were on the screws and when unscrewing some of the washers fell into the chair and i couldn't retrieve them all but luckily i had some spare in my garage. Apart from that its easy to assemble

I have a DX Racer D series myself, very happy with it.

If I needed to buy again for whatever reason at this point, I'd get a Vertagear, the seat looks much better (its flatter so easier to cross legs)

I think I have the same dxracer type chair the front does curve in slightly. I didnt realise it was like that and didnt like it at first but now I have got used to it and its probably changed the way I sit in it.
I bought an Arozzi Monza and it was god damn awful. The Lumbar was terrible. Build quality was abysmal.
Really like the DX because of the adjustable lumbar cushion and headrest.

several, all trash in comparison to a good quality executive/office chair - although these retail for 700-3000, refurbs can be had for 200-500 and provide far better value for money.

Look at this way, do you back a company that has been making chairs for the pampered butts of lehman brothers or a company jumping on the "gaming chair" bandwagon, taking a £90 ikea chair, adding some padding + bright colours and charging 3 times the amount.

Sorry, a harsh comparison and I mean no offence to those who purchased one, they are decent but way overpriced for what they are

Yeah that's way over the top, They are two completely different animals.. One you can lay back on while watching movies or listening to music, Or you can sit in a little confined office chair unable to move, So now it looks like both have there pro's and cons. Oh yeah DX Racer are much better than a £90 Ikea chair.
