Looking to improve WiFi coverage in the house

This doesn't make any sense. They supply a router (currently Eero). Is the white box on the wall the Openreach ONT?

I don't use the Eero. My mistake here is not realising that the U6 needed a router behind it.

What's probably confusing matters is that TalkTalk AFAIK don't do any authentication on their WAN and it will hand out addresses via DHCP, so if you were to be plugging something directly into the ONT it will just get a WAN IP and work as a normal internet connected device.
