Hey guys, Im looing to get a new PSU for my rig replacing the 750w thats currently there

The machine I have was built by OcUK and I have not replaced a PSU for about 5 years, is it an easy enough job and is there anything i need to take into consideration?

the reason i mention it being an OcUK build is that i am not sure how well their cable management is and if it would be MORE difficult than usual replacing all the wires etc.

Thanks :)

Only one way to find out! It literally is uplugging the old and fitting the new. cable management is, however, something of an art :)

Should be a 15 minute job to swap a PSU. The cable management can take hours, depends on how bothered about neatness you are.

The only difference from 5 years would be the CPU 8 pin which might have been 4 pin when you changed one before and possibly the main connector which us now 24pin not 20pin from before.

Some PSUs feature split connectors ie. 2 x 4 ways for the 8 pin and a 20 + 4 pin for the 24 pin. Should be easy to work out.

Yep it's an easy enough job.

Cable management will depend on which case you've got. ;) Probably nothing that a set of wire cutters/scissors won't fix to get rid of the cable ties.
