Hello,

I currently have

(main parts)

msi k9n diamond
msi 8800gt
4gig reaper extream DDR2
amd athlon x2 dual core 5600+ (2.8GHz)

it has been a couple of years since i last upgraded and now i just dont know what is good and what is not,

not to bothered about overclocking, just want a fast reliable computer as i am a web designer and by the time i get to the end of my day the computer is not so responsive, 101 open tabs and programs probbly dosent help lol

not sure if its even worth getting an upgrade

all i really need to change is the board and processor as the fastest CPU i can get for this board is the 6000+ wich dosent seem worth the upgrade,

wow, less than i thought,
i was looking at the intel and the prices looked scary,

i have always had amd so this may be a good option for me, and at 200 its a bargin,

not seen the phenom cpus befor, been a while lol,

the processor looks good in the benchmarks, (i would be happy with this)

not to sure about the board as it seems to be a bit lacking, if you get what i mean,
any better suggestions for the mobo to match the AMD Phenom II X3

i currently have a 8800gt so sli would be a bonus but not esential, my current mobo cost me 120 so around that mark would be fine

just incase it matters,
i sream most stuff through my pc to 1080p hd tv for films and games,
i have a wirless setup in my house,
mad about my music
i like things to look nice

anyone got any improvments on this, keeping around same total
