Any help guys im hoping to keep as much of my current rig as possible to keeps costs to a minimal but i want to upgrade my processor which will also mean a new mother board i want something pretty good as im going to hopefully get a Gtx 560ti . Budget around £250 or am i gonna have to save a little longer

I bought a 2500k the other day, and I am very impressed with it. Blows my old Q6600 out of the water really.

I got a Asus Z68 Gen 3 motherboard, as this future proofs you a little, as this motherboard will take Ivy Bridge processors.

I'm pleased with my new 2500k, it's very rapid indeed. I think the main advantage of the SB chips is how easily they overclock though. Took me no time at all to get an easy extra 1GHz out of mine. Could push it further but it starts to get a little warm. Definitely helped with BF3 on ultra settings.
