Loosing Hard Disk

I have a WD 3200KS disk, and when I try to copy large files to it, windows looses the disk. Now this happened on vista and XP pro, so dont think its an OS issue, it aslso has not happened for some time, maybe 3-4months. If i run a disk check it usually works ok there after. here is the result from HD Tune.

Any ideas why this happens. I get an error message telling me the info is lost, and the drive disappears from My Computer, and device manager. the only way to get the drive back is to shut down then power back up. The hard disk light is on constant through out this too.

Any other software i can try out?

Go get WD's diagnostics tool from their site and run that, there should be a link to it in the sticky at the top of the forum.
