Los Cats

Good posts.

My cats are in their 2nd year now.. so both young, one is female the other male. tbh our male cat went missing for about 6 weeks in the summer, only to be found again... so he probably has the knack now for catchign things... however he is as soft as a feather, lets the kids tug at him, wouldnt say boo to a goose normally.

The female however is a right mardy one, she can be lovely and dosent mind being picked up at all.. infact half the time she expects me to carry her to her food bowl. But if she has had enough she will bite and claw, and also when playing she can be nippy.

Im not sure who is the hunter tbh.

Im not sure who is the hunter tbh.

We thought it was the alpha of our three (incredibly he was the runt of the litter but is bigger than the other two now!) but it turns out all three of them like to play catch.

We have some deer and cows not so far way so I'm hoping that one day they all team up and bring home dinner :p

You have had two dead birds and think that's bad. One of my cats (Abby 2 years old) has declared open warfare on the local wildlife population. Last month she killed/caught 42 animals. These were a mix of voles, shrews and birds. Over half were alive and we had "fun" chasing them around the house to catch them and let them loose in the field. This month she is already on 51 animals and there are still 3 days left to go!!

oooooow..... :(

I thought I had it bad with one or two a week.... 51! Abby has some skills!

They will keep on doing it, that is what they do...

You can get a collar with a bell but depending on how ninja your cats are this may not work.

Or

If you cat is a lazy **** like mine a bell won't work as it brings thing in that were already dead...

Years ago one of my friends lived on a farm and his lurcher used to regularly bring home dead cats. When the hunter becomes the hunted :)

I came in here expecting to hear about the latest band sensation from South America and I got was dead birds.
