Hi all, a small section of the plastic trim at the bottom of my car has come off a bit, what is the best adhesive to use to stick it back flush to the bottom of the body/sill please?

Thanks in advance

Genuine 3M vhb tape is expensive ... I'd bought about about 25cm * 1cm for phone mounts on windscreen, must have been £4... yes it sticks well -

Can zip ties be used ?

many misleading ebay sellers who sell 3 metres of tape, and you think you're getting 3M brand though.

Here is another pic - https://ibb.co/DRcjmhT.
If I press it down it bends back to sit flush with the bodywork/sill.
What is the best 3M VHB tape to use, looked online there seems to be different versions of it, like 3M VHB 4910F, 4941F, 4943F, 4952P, 5952F etc?
Given the area and I don't really want to take off the trim, would any type of glue work??
Thanks for your help guys.

Is it your car and how long do you plant to keep it?

You could certainly super glue that, but it will likely fail at some point due to frost. If your getting rid soon then I would just do that.
Likewise you could epoxy it, which would probably be permanent but would be a royal pain if needing to remove the trim at a later date

Yes it is my car and I intend on keeping it till dies or I have a reason to change, I very rarely change cars.

5952F was what we used when I used to trim pieces when I worked in the Windscreen trade.

Its 9.99 a Roll on Amazon

Pic looks like something like a stone might've got in there and bent it out of shape, then fallen back out because you're able to press it in.

As mentioned a bit of decent self adhesive strip should do it. If you prop something underneath to keep it in shape overnight, such as a bit of wood covered by a protective cloth, it should hold.

Tape generally works much better on cars in my experience, glues/epoxy even the ones that say they are designed for vehicles don't seem to last long at all.
