Losing internet connection, some help please :)

HI I have a Netgear DG834 router I am hard wired into the router and in turn to the telephone line.

I am on Orange Broadband which for the last few years has been fine, this week (last 4 days) I keep loosing my connection or cant even get it at all.

I have rung Orange tech line and they cant help mainly as they dont speak english that well.

Anyone shed some light on what I should try etc.

I have not changed anything in my Computer system so I pretty much can rule that out.

Have you tried powering down the router and then re-setting it via the hard reset button?

can you ping the router when your internet goes down?

using a old USB Speedtouch modem and it works fine, so it must be the router.

Will try looking for a update on the router and see if that sorts it out as I need the wireless part of it around the home..
