Losing peripheral outputs

I've got an issue with my machine, spec is:

5900x
B550 Aorus Pro AC
32GB Mems
Intel Arc B580

I randomly lose output to everything external like keyboard, mouse, monitor etc. Everything else internal is powered and fans are spinning. The only way to reset the PC is to switch PSU button off and back on.

I changed out the PSU yesterday and I thought that had solved it. I was encoding video for a while with no issues, but this morning it's did it again within 1 minute of booting.

Any ideas?

I would perhaps try resetting the CMOS and make sure the BIOS is up to date for starters.

After that try removing one peripheral at a time and testing in case one of them is causing the issue (you could even do this first before the above).

Hi,

I've switched my monitor output from DP to HDMI and my M&K were attached via USB Hub and I've plugged them in directly. I'll see how that goes.

Thanks

If you lose display how do you know that keyboard and mouse aren't working? (Not doubting just trying to narrow things down)

If you have or can set up some way of remote accessing your PC - even if it's VNC Server or Chrome Remote desktop or similar, and then next time it goes of, see if you can remote in - you can then see it the keyboard and mouse are still working, and it narrows it down to a monitor or gpu issue.

Hi,

The keyboard is LED backlit and the lights go out. The mouse is Razor and has a wee green LED that also goes out.

Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I've hooked it up to a completely different set of peripherals, including different monitor, and I'll see how that goes.
