Loss of internet connection

Hi,

I'm having an issue with my Ethernet port not connecting to the internet since uninstalling some vpn software, I can remote into it on the same network fine, I have uninstalled and re installed the port but no luck so far.

When I run the W10 diagnostic it shows as no issue with the port but has shown as a possible router to cable unplugged issue, my other devices on the network are fine.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

go into the properties of the port and check that Ip4 and Ip6 are ticked and set to DHCP ?

Otherwise I am not really sure :s

Paste an IPconfig /all to us.

Got to services list: start, run, services.msc

Look for a service called IPSEC, is it started or not?

Assume that 'IPsec Policy Agent' and if so that's running.

If I hover over the network connection on the taskbar it says it has internet access, it's as if the computer just wont use it.

Is the VPN software you uninstalled set to block internet access unless it's connected to a VPN?

Reinstall it and check.

Couldn't re install it as it said it needed an internet connection to install, reset pc, luckily only use it as media server so not much program wise on it.
